Project Overview

  • Jiangsu Xingguang New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. has been engaged in the paper industry for decades and is a benchmark enterprise in China’s decorative base paper sector. The newly built PM8 2640-500 decorative base paper machine line imposes high requirements on airflow stability in the drying section, cross-moisture uniform control and system energy efficiency.
  • ZhengDing customized a closed hood ventilation system solution for the client to support the smooth commissioning of its high-end decorative base paper production line. The line started up successfully at the first attempt with all indicators steadily meeting standards and satisfying the process requirements for decorative base paper production.

Scope of Supply

  • The fully customized closed hood system matches the operating conditions of the decorative base paper machine with a 2640 mm web width and a design speed of 500 m/min for this project.
  • Equipped with built-in manifold ducts, the system optimizes the airflow distribution inside the hood to ensure uniform drying of the paper web. The intelligent zero-point air pressure control system monitors and adjusts the pressure inside the hood in real time to keep stable airflow in the drying zone.
  • We also provide one-stop full-cycle services including site condition survey, solution design, equipment fabrication, delivery, on-site installation, commissioning and start-up support to guarantee stable and qualified operation of the production line.

Core technology

  • Combined with the characteristics of high-speed production conditions for decorative base paper, the internal manifold duct structure of the hood is optimized to address requirements such as cross-machine moisture control, airflow stability and condensation mitigation, so as to reduce airflow disturbance and paper defects.
  • Custom-designed according to the machine’s design speed and evaporation load, the airflow distribution is precisely arranged based on the evaporation capacity of the paper web to balance the pressure inside the hood, ensure uniform cross-machine drying and stabilize finished paper quality.
  • The airflow organization of the hood is specially optimized for the properties of decorative base paper. It reduces airflow fluctuation under high-speed operation and lowers the risk of condensation under high-humidity conditions. Reserved connection interfaces are available for heat recovery equipment, leaving room for subsequent energy-saving upgrades.
