Project Overview
- APP (Asia Pulp & Paper) Group is a world-leading integrated pulp and paper enterprise, ranking among the top players globally and as a domestic industry leader in scale, technology and market position. Three bases under the Group — Golden Hongye Rudong Base, Hainan Jinhai Pulp & Paper and Sichuan Golden Hongye — have carried out new construction projects, fuel-to-steam conversion projects and production line renovation projects respectively. World-class stringent standards are set for the Yankee Hoods in terms of operational stability, energy efficiency and long-cycle reliability. Zhengding Environment has supplied multiple sets of Yankee Hoods including upgrade retrofits for the three APP bases. This series of projects marks a milestone for Zhengding Environment to enter the supply chain of the global paper group and boosts its brand influence within the industry.
- The projects cover multiple scenarios such as new high-speed tissue paper machine lines, energy-saving retrofits for fuel-to-steam conversion, and upgrades of existing production lines. The lines vary greatly in machine speed, web width, process parameters and load. The client has strict requirements for drying stability, dew point control accuracy, heat recovery efficiency, energy saving, condensation prevention and long-cycle operation. All projects have been successfully commissioned and run stably with remarkable energy-saving performance, meeting APP Group’s production requirements for high quality, high stability and high efficiency.
Scope of Supply
- Two sets of Yankee Hoods are supplied for the 3600 mm-width, 1700 m/min high-speed tissue paper machine at Golden Hongye Rudong Base.
- Seven complete sets of supporting equipment and related systems for the special fuel-to-steam conversion retrofit are provided for Hainan Jinhai Pulp & Paper.
- Two sets of Yankee Hoods are supplied for the production line upgrade project of Sichuan Golden Hongye.
- Zhengding Environment takes full responsibility for the whole-process services including hood solution design, equipment supply, installation, commissioning and technical support for each base, ensuring smooth commissioning and stable operation of all projects.
Core technology
- Taking into account the climatic differences in temperature, humidity and altitude as well as on-site operating conditions in Jiangsu, Hainan and Sichuan, the sealing and thermal insulation structure of the Yankee Hoods and waste heat recovery efficiency are optimized. Adaptable to multi-region environments, the systems achieve stable, efficient and energy-saving operation across all seasons in the three locations.
- Customized system solutions are developed on a machine-specific basis according to each base, machine model and process. Targeted calculations for air volume, heat recovery and control logic are carried out separately for the high-speed, high-evaporation conditions at Golden Hongye Rudong Base, the energy-saving priority requirements of the fuel-to-steam conversion project at Hainan Jinhai, and the high adaptability needs of the renovation at Sichuan Golden Hongye, so as to realize the optimal match for each production line.
- To meet the stringent production standards of APP Group, a triple closed-loop control of dew point, temperature and zero pressure point is adopted. It ensures no condensation on high-speed machines, no production reduction for retrofitted lines and maximum energy efficiency for fuel-to-steam conversion systems, satisfying the requirements for continuous and stable production.
