Project Overview
- Shandong Jin Cai Lun Paper Co., Ltd., located in Liaocheng, Shandong, is a national high-tech enterprise and a National Green Factory. It also serves as the drafting unit for China’s industry standard for lightweight printing paper and holds a benchmark position and core competitiveness in the specialty cultural paper sector. For this PM18 production line project focused on specialty cultural paper, stringent requirements were imposed on the closed hood’s waste‑heat recovery efficiency, energy consumption control, operational stability, and compatibility with medium‑speed paper machines. Zhengding Environment customized a dedicated closed‑hood waste‑heat recovery system for the project, ensuring the line operates efficiently, saves energy, and maintains stable performance. This further strengthens Zhengding Environment’s competitive edge in providing hood‑based solutions for high‑end specialty paper applications and enriches its portfolio of exemplary energy‑saving retrofit cases in the specialty paper field.
- This project has now been successfully commissioned and put into operation. The entire hood system and heat recovery system are operating stably, with excellent waste‑heat recovery efficiency and remarkable energy‑saving performance, meeting the requirements for high‑quality production of specialty cultural paper and for green, low‑carbon manufacturing.
Scope of Supply
- Custom-designed, turnkey closed-loop hood system for waste heat recovery, tailored to the operating conditions of a medium-speed specialty cultural paper production line with a web width of 2,640 mm and a machine speed of 500 m/min.
- Equipped with a dedicated heat recovery system, it precisely matches the evaporation load of medium-speed paper machines, enabling efficient waste heat recovery and significant energy savings.

- Taking into account the pronounced seasonal temperature variations characteristic of northern China’s climate in Shandong, and addressing the customized requirements of specialty cultural paper production lines—namely, drying stability, waste‑heat recovery efficiency, dew‑point control accuracy, and condensation‑free operation—we have optimized the hood’s sealed insulation structure and equipment operating strategies to accommodate year‑round fluctuations in ambient temperature, thereby ensuring stable and reliable equipment performance throughout all seasons.
- The evaporation load and heat recovery ratio are tailored to the operating conditions of medium-speed paper machines. Based on machine speed, drying technology, and actual evaporative water consumption, ventilation parameters and heating loads are precisely calculated, and the waste‑heat recovery system is custom‑designed to ensure optimal matching between the hood equipment and the paper machine process, thereby achieving maximum energy‑saving performance.
- Tailored to the high‑quality production characteristics of specialty cultural paper, we customize dedicated dew‑point and temperature control ranges. In conjunction with stringent requirements for paper flatness and dryness, we establish proprietary air‑supply temperature and dew‑point control curves, effectively preventing surface re‑moistening, wrinkling, condensation, and other defects, thereby consistently enhancing finished‑paper quality.
- Optimize the hood insulation structure and heating‑power configuration to accommodate the pronounced seasonal temperature variations in northern regions, ensuring balanced operating conditions throughout the year while meeting the dual objectives of long‑term equipment stability, efficient drying, and energy conservation.
